Oversize Pamphlet Binders
1. Cut two pieces of corrugated archival board ½” greater than the height and width of the score.
2. Cut a strip of 3”-wide buckram twice the height of the boards plus 2”.
3. Draw 2 vertical lines 1” from each edge of the buckram, leaving a 1” gutter in the middle.
4. Draw 2 horizontal lines to match the height of the boards across the approximate middle of the buckram strip.
5. Apply glue to the sides of the buckram within the middle section and affix the boards into place.
6. Apply glue to the sides of the buckram for the top and bottom
sections and fold them over to affix to the other side of the boards.
The ends of the buckram should overlap by about 2”.
7. Place a weight over the buckram and let dry overnight.
8. If a pocket is needed, construct one from endpaper sheets.
