Add Volume and Call Number
- Open WorkFlows (double click).
- Login: (using personal ID and PIN).
- If correct toolbar is not displayed, click once in gray area of toolbar, choose toolbars. Use pull-down button (arrow to right of dialogue box) and choose correct toolbar.
- Pull down menu for search keys: Author, Call number, General, Item ID (barcode number) , Periodical title, Series, Subject, Title, or Title control number (oclc number ). For Call number searches, choose a specific library – For Title control number, type a lower case o before the oclc number and the number must have eight digits, add zeros before the first number, if necessary).
- Pull down menu choices for libraries: All, Cook, Gulf_Coast, GUNTERGCRL, McCain, and Network.
- Use pull-down arrows to choose search keys. Use pull-down arrows to choose library. Choose type of search by clicking on the circle to the right of Search, Browse, or Exact. Option for Current will display only after you have searched a record.
- Click on the second button (multi-colored book) “Volume and Call Number Maintenance”. Then click on 1st multi-colored book (with pencil point), “Add Volumes and Call Numbers”.
- If search method and library have been set through properties for this work session, that will become the default for the remainder of the session (unless there is a need to do a different kind of search and/or in a different library), if setting for the first time or anytime temporarily, use the pull-down arrows to set search keys and library.
- Highlight the record to add volume. At the bottom of the screen, click on Add Call Number. Choose library from pull-down arrow, click ok twice. then go to the field(s) to be added. Add all the information for the new volume, click ok. (Clicking ok saves the change(s)).
- Then you may Add Another Call number, Add Another Copy, Return to Volume List (goes back to all volumes linked), Lookup AnotherTitle (goes back to browse dialogue book), or Close (which closes the Add Volume/CallNumberscreen).
- Searches can be set for any of the options any time. Right click on the button, go to properties, default. Choose search options from the pull-down menus and click ok. Changes can be saved (or not) when WorkFlows is closed.
