Searching Special Collections

Searching for materials in Special Collections involves much more than browsing the online catalog. Non-book items, such as archival documents, are described in finding aids. The search box below will search all of the finding aids for the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection, Historical Manuscripts & Archives, and the Mississippiana Vertical File index.

    Finding Aids

In order to organize, store, and provide access to archives and manuscripts, we create finding aids to describe each collection. For example, if a person donates his papers to the archives, it becomes a "collection," and a finding aid is created to outline the topics and types of information contained within that particular set of boxes.
