Reserve Cook Library Room 110

Cook Library Room 110, located in the northeast corner of the Learning Commons, is a combination computer-equipped classroom and conference room. The front half of the room includes an instructor PC with ceiling-mounted data projector and 26 student computers. All computers have Internet access. The back half of the room includes two rectangular tables arranged to seat 14 persons. Additional chairs are available. The room includes a sink and counter space.

Cook Library Room 110 is used primarily for library instruction and secondarily for other University Libraries' functions. If the room is not needed by University Libraries, it may be reserved by university faculty or staff. Student organization advisors should reserve the room for student organization use. Standing meetings will not be scheduled for this room.

Groups not affiliated with the university may rent Cook Library Room 110. Rental rates are $25 for up to 4 hours and $50 for more than 4 hours. Charges are calculated on a daily basis. Guidelines for Use of Cook Library Room 110:

  • This form must be submitted at least three business days (Monday-Friday, excluding university holidays) in advance of the meeting.
  • Reservation requests must be made by a university employee. Student group advisors may reserve the room for student group use. Groups not affiliated with the university will be charged a rental fee for room use.
  • Meetings may begin at least 30 minutes after Cook Library opens. Meetings should end by the earlier of either 9 p.m. or 30 minutes before Cook Library closing. Check library hours to confirm hours of operation.
  • There is no charge for use of the room by university groups; however, all groups may be liable for damages, lost equipment, or cleaning costs.
  • Standing meetings will not be scheduled for this room.
  • Deliveries of food, equipment, or other items are the responsibility of the group reserving the room and such deliveries should be made during the time the room is reserved.
  • Problems with the room should be reported to Reference Services at the library assistance desk in the Learning Commons (601.266.4249). Technical assistance with equipment and/or Internet access may be limited during evening and weekend hours.
  • The room must be left in good order. Chairs and tables must be returned to their original locations and the door locked.
  • Meeting attendees must enter and exit through the library's public entrance located at the north end of the building.
  • Meeting attendees must abide by the library's Acceptable Behavior Policy.
  • The room key should be returned to the library assistance desk in the Cook Library Learning Commons immediately after the meeting concludes

The room key will be available for pickup at the library assistance desk in the Cook Library Learning Commons (room 109). University ID card is required to pick up the room key. For non-university groups, payment is due on the day of the event and personal identification is required to receive the room key
