Reserve Cook Library Art Gallery

The Cook Library Art Gallery is an event space seating 48 persons (theatre or round table set-up) that is located at the north entrance on the first floor of Cook Library.

The first priority for the use of the Cook Library Art Gallery is for University Libraries' functions. If the room is not needed by University Libraries, it may be reserved for university faculty or staff, or for meetings of student organizations. Student organization advisers must reserve the room for student organization use. Standing meetings will not be scheduled for this room.

Problems with the room should be reported to the Libraries' Administrative Office (601.266.4241) Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or to Circulation (601.266.4250) during evenings and weekends.

Guidelines for the use of the Cook Library Art Gallery:

  • This form must be submitted at least three business days (Monday through Friday, excluding university holidays) in advance of your meeting.
  • Reservation requests must be made by a university employee. Student group advisors must reserve the room for student group use.
  • Scheduled meetings may begin thirty minutes after the library opens and must conclude thirty minutes before the library closes. Cook Library Hours
  • There is no charge for use of the room; however, groups may be liable for damages, lost equipment, or cleaning costs.
  • The event manager must check-in at the Circulation Desk prior to the event. Library staff will unlock the gallery prior to the event. The Circulation Desk must be notified at the conclusion of the event.
  • Deliveries of food, equipment, or other items are the responsibility of the group reserving the room and such deliveries should be made during the time the room is reserved.
  • Limited technical assistance is available. Call Circulation (601.266.4250) during evening and weekend hours to ask if technical help is available.
  • The room must be left in good order. Chairs and tables must be returned to their original locations and the door locked.
  • Event attendees must enter and exit through the library's public entrance located at the north end of the building.
  • Event attendees must abide by the library's Acceptable Behavior Policy.
