Patron Verification
University Libraries are no longer able to assist patrons with access issues related to username and password.
Off-campus and ILLiad (document delivery) access is now controlled by the University's central authentication system.
As noted on the authentication form, remote login and ILLiad login use your USM ID (i.e., Empl ID) in the form of the
leter "w" followed by 6-digit number (e.g., w123456). The password is the same password used for SOAR, Webmail, WebCT, and other university systems.
These authentication tokens are administered and
maintained by the university registrar's office and technically maintained
by the offices of iTech, the university's computing services department.
If you can not remember your SOAR password or if you feel there is
a problem with your SOAR password, contact iTech at
601.266.HELP (4357). Other access issues (technical problems,
database errors, Web site errors) may be addressed via our Ask-A-
Librarian form using the form's technical troubleshooting section.
