Set up 1" Margins
Select Page Layout>Margins>Normal

Set up Font
Select Home and from the drop-down menus on the left, select "Times New Roman" and "12."

Set up Double Spacing
Step 1 - Select Page Layout > Paragraph

Step 2 - Find "Line Spacing" and select "Double" from the box. Be sure to change the "Spacing" "After:" to 0 pt (zero).

Set up Page Number
Turabian allows you to choose to have your page numbers centered bottom, centered top or flush right top.
Step 1 - Select Insert > Page Number > Top of Page or Bottom of Page and select the desired placement from the examples given. Word will automatically begin numbering your pages starting on the title page. But, Turabian requires page numbering to begin on the first page of text. To change the page numbering so that it begins with the number "1" on the second page, go to Step 2 below.

Step 2 - From the toolbar that now appears at the top of the window, look for the "Header and Footer" box at the far left and choose Page Number>Format Page Numbers...

Step 3 - Under "Page Numbering," choose "Start at: 0 (zero)" and click "OK."
