Who is Will D. Campbell?
A preacher...

Campbell's work with the National Council of Churches ended with Will departing for reasons similar to his separation from the church and academia; his desire to practice his beliefs freely and unhindered by institutional restrictions.

Will became involved with the Committee for Southern Churchmen in 1962 and remained active through the 1970's. He continued preaching, writing, and engaging in activities furthering civil and human rights causes.

A vital component of the CSC was their journal, Kattallagate. Meaning "be reconciled," the title captures the heart of Campbell's ministry. His message is less about social activism and more about the Christian
