due to our limited staff and the volume of questions we receive
daily, we ask that you consider the following guidelines for
using the Ask de Grummond reference service.
Types of Appropriate Questions
This service is designed to provide answers to queries about
the de Grummond Collection and its holdings of books, manuscripts
and illustrations. Due to increased demands on our limited
staff, we find we can no longer answer questions about children's
literature in general. Answers to that type of question can
be found on our FAQs pages
or in general reference sources like Something About the
Author, or encyclopedias. Please check with your local
public or school library for these resources.
Costs
Photocopies are $.25/each, plus $3.00 shipping and handling, or a minimum charge of $5.00.
Fees
for research by our staff may also apply.
All
fees must be received before any research or reproduction
services begin.
When
to Expect a Response
Since
our staff is small, we ask that you allow us 2-3 weeks to
respond to your query. This time period may be extended due
to University
Holidays (PDF).
