Biographical Sketch

Lynn Munsinger was born December 24, 1951 in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University in 1974. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1977. Since 1978, she has illustrated over 70 children's books for over 25 different authors.

Scope and Content

The collection contains sketches for the cover, 2 preliminary illustrations, 4 original watercolor illustrations, 5 color separations, 1 mechanical separation, and folded and gathered sheets for What Should a Hippo Wear? (1979). There is also a dust jacket for An Arkful of Animals: Poems for the Very Young (1978).
