Linda Allison was born on July 7, 1948 in San Bernardino, California. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Her first children's book, The Reasons for Seasons , was published in 1975. She has written and illustrated children's books about anatomy, ecology, and arts and crafts. More recently, she wrote a series of activity books for preschoolers and their parents. Ms. Allison received a New York Academy of Science Honorable Mention in 1980 for Wild Inside: Sierra Club's Guide to the Great Indoors. She resides in California. Something About the Author, vol. 43.
