Curious George Comes to Hattiesburg Catalog Garners National Prize

The recent exhibit catalog published by the de Grummond Collection, Curious George Comes to Hattiesburg: The Life and Work of H. A. and Margret Rey, has been selected as the winner of the 2001 Katharine Kyes Leab and Daniel J. Leab American Book Prices Current Exhibition Award for Division Three. The award is administered by the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section (RBMS) of the Association of College & Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association. The RBMS Exhibition Awards Committee selected our catalog from a field of fifteen entries "for its excellent graphic design and appealing text and focus." A certificate was presented to Dee Jones at the annual meeting of the American Library Association in San Francisco in June. Printed copies of the catalog are still available from the de Grummond Collection.
