Form of Material:

Forty-seven page manuscript entitled "Not a Hero, Just Lucky", containing the World War II memories of U.S. Army Tech. Sgt. Riley Taylor written by his wife Dib Taylor and dated September 9, 1990. Sgt. Taylor enlisted on December 6, 1940 and was discharged on June 13, 1945. He served in the 22nd Regiment of the 4th Infantry Division and was awarded two Purple Hearts. In his memoir he discusses training exercises at camps in Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, New Jersey, and the Carolinas, and his participation in the Normandy Invasion and the subsequent push into Germany.
