Sundell on February 26, 1995, recounting his experiences on board the U.S. Navy Coastal Transport Vessel APc-5 in the South Pacific in 1943-1944. The APc-5 was based in Milne Bay, New Guinea, and the ship's commanding officer was Claude E. Fike, Jr., later Dean of Liberal Arts and Head of Special Collections at The University of Southern Mississippi.
