Form of Material: Ledger book containing the docket of both civil and criminal cases brought before Justice of the Peace Court, Pearl River County, Mississippi from 1942 - 1946. Mr. Buford Walker was Justice of the Peace during that time. The first half of the book deals with the disposition of civil cases, and the last half deals with criminal cases. Several marriages performed by Justice Walker are recorded in the back of the book. Loose items found in the ledger have been placed in separate folders. |
