Form of Material:

Correspondence, certificates, publications, files, and other materials relating almost exclusively to Powell G. Ogletree's membership and participation in the Rotary Club of Hattiesburg and Rotary District 6840. The only exception is a certificate issued to Mr. Ogletree by Mississippi Southern College (now USM) for fiscal year 1956-57. A Box and Folder List is attached hereto.

Powell G. Ogletree earned a bachelor's degree at Southern Miss in 1948, and a master's in 1951. He served as Executive Director of the USM Alumni Association from 1953 until his retirement in 1987. He was president of the Hattiesburg Rotary Club in 1965-66 and 1966-67, and served two terms as District Governor, Rotary District 6840 (1979-80 and 1988-89). Mr. Ogletree died June 11, 2005.
