Form of Material: Materials documenting the activities of Miss Jessie Morrison, long-time assistant to the President of The University of Southern Mississippi. "Miss Jessie" was a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and an alumna of the Demonstration School and Mississippi Southern College (an earlier name of the University). She served in the U.S. Navy W.A.V.E.S. from 1943 to 1945 and worked at USM from 1953 until 1986. Miss Jessie was the valued assistant to USM Presidents William D. McCain and Aubrey Keith Lucas from 1955 to 1986.
