Collection Title: Kimball (Mary B.) World War I Letter Accession Number: AM02-14 Dates: January 5, 1916 (misdated) Volume: 3 pages Given By: The Minnesota Historical Society, via Ms. Lynn Leitte Copyright: This collection may be protected from unauthorized copying by the Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code). Form of Material: A letter written to Mary B. Kimball by a hospital librarian at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, who signed herself, "The Imp." The letter is dated January 5, 1916, but since the armistice ending World War I (signed November 11, 1918) is discussed in the letter, the date is obviously in error, and the year should probably be 1919. The letter discusses the weather, camp morale, and various aspects of camp life. |
