Approximately 300 photographs plus negatives reproduced by Dr. Kenneth G. McCarty, professor of history at The University of Southern Mississippi, in his book Hattiesburg: A Pictorial History (Jackson : University Press of Mississippi, 1982). The collection includes photographs of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and surrounding area, calendars, and brochures. Most of the photographs are copies of originals not held by Dr. McCarty or USM.
