Form of Material:

The collection contains:

1. One looseleaf notebook containing original letters clipped to typedtranscriptions. These letters begin in 1849 with Benjamin Wiggins of Bangor writing
   letters of introduction for Edward Crosby, his brother-in-law, who was planning to travel to California. Most of the remaining letters (1850-1877) were written
   primarily by W.G. Crosby in Maine to his brother "Ned" in south Mississippi. They concern family matters and business interests.
2. A small accounts ledger (1857).
3. Typed ledger sheets of the Native Lumber Company of Howison, Mississippi and the Ten Mile Lumber Company of Ten Mile, Mississippi (1915, reported 1916).
