How do I rent a laptop/notebook computer?The Cook Library, Gulf Coast Library, and Gulf Coast Student Service Center Library circulation desks have several notebook computers available for rent to current students, faculty, and staff. Laptop computers and peripheral equipment (headphones, drives, etc.) are available any time the library is open and due the following day. A user agreement is completed with each loan. A $5.00 per loan charge will be assessed on the borrowers’ library account for laptop loans. Laptops may not be renewed when others are waiting for one to become available. Overdue fines are calculated at $25.00 a day for the first two days overdue, $50.00 for every day thereafter. Maximum fines are $500.00. The borrower assumes personal financial responsibility for any repairs or replacement of any equipment damaged through neglect or loss while in the custody of the borrower, however, the borrower is not authorized to make any such repairs. |
