How do I borrow (check out) a book or other item? You must have a current USM ID card (student, faculty, and staff) or alumni borrowing card to check out library materials. In Cook Library, there are three circulation desks. The main ciruclation desk is located next to the main entrance to the building. All circulating items located in the stacks should be checked out or borrowed from the main circulation desk. The Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) and the Reading Room each have their own circulation desk used exclusively for the items in those collections. The Special Collections housed in McCain Library & Archives are all non-circulating. Nothing may be borrowed from McCain Library. Read the University Libraries Circulation Policy for more information. |
