How do I get borrowing privileges at other university libraries in Mississippi?Seven of Mississippi's public universities participate in a reciprocal borrowing agreement: Alcorn State University, Delta State University, Mississippi State University, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi Valley State University, University of Mississippi, and the University of Southern Mississippi. Current students, faculty, and staff in good standing with USM Libraries are eligible to borrow library materials from any of the participating universities using a MUL borrowing card. Mississippi Universities Library (MUL) borrowing cards are issued to USM students at the circulation desk in either Cook Library or the Gulf Coast Library. The cards are non-transferable. Participating libraries will honor MUL borrowing cards when they are presented in conjunction with a valid photo ID issued by the University of Southern Mississippi. Loan periods are designated by the lending institution. Return of borrowed materials to the lending institution and any overdue fines are the responsibility of the individual borrower. Charges for damaged or lost material will follow the governing circulation policy of the lending institution. For more information about the Mississippi Universities Library (MUL) Borrowing Cards, contact Cook Library Reference Services via e-mail using the Ask-a-Librarian page or by phone at 601.266.4249. |
