How do I find U.S. government documents?

Use the Advanced Search screen of the library catalog to search for government publications.

  1. Type one or more search terms (e.g., author, title, or subject) in the blank search boxes near the top of the screen.
  2. In the Location menu, select Cook Library Government Publications.
  3. Click the Submit button.
  4. On the resulting list of title entries, click directly on any title that you think relevant or mark multiple entries, click the Save Marked Records button, and then click the View Saved button.

Please note that many U.S. Government publications are available online using the links available in the library catalog.

Use the University Libraries Government Resources subject guide to find additional sources of government information.
