Cook Library, located on the Hattiesburg campus, contains the principal collections of books, periodicals, microforms, government documents, and other materials which directly support the research and instructional programs of The University of Southern Mississippi at all levels.
McCain Library and Archives is home to the University Libraries Special Collections Department. This includes one of the leading children's literature collections in the United States, the de Grummond Collection.
Fold3 History and Genealogy Archives presents digital images of various United States national and regional documents and records. Census records for 1860 and 1930 are included, as well as naturalization records for selected years and jurisdictions.
