Founded in August 1998, NetLibrary is located in Boulder, Colorado. As the world's premier provider of electronic books (eBooks), NetLibrary helps academic, public, corporate, and special libraries create a richer, more productive learning environment for their patrons.

By combining the time-honored traditions of the library system with electronic publishing, NetLibrary offers an easy-to-use information and retrieval system for accessing the full text of reference, scholarly, and professional books. NetLibrary is a division of OCLC Online Computer Library Center, a nonprofit organization that provides computer-based cataloging, reference, resource sharing, and preservation service to libraries worldwide.

NetLibrary - Access from USM FAQ

First-Time Users - Access
USM NetLibrary users may only access the NetLibrary collection through a password and login. This password and login must be created by the user upon their first visit to NetLibrary (See Note below). Create your login.

Note - You must visit NetLibrary via a link from the University Libraries website or this page. Choose the "NetLibrary" link from the Library's home page. This will send you to NetLibrary via our proxy server. The proxy server will request your USM 10-Digit ID number (if you are accessing NetLibrary from off-campus) in order to verify your patron status.

After this account is created, you may then access NetLibrary from ANNA (the Library's catalog) or any other web link AS LONG as you login to the NetLibrary system after arriving at the NetLibrary site.
