Resource of the Month - Foundation Directory Online Professional

News item published on: 2022-10-04 10:24:00

Each month, University Libraries highlights a resource from its collections. This month the featured item is the research database – Foundation Directory Online Professional.

The Foundation Directory Online Professional is a grant database that contains a growing number of grant maker and recipient profiles, grants, and searchable 990s. This database searches through federal and private grant agencies to help you locate possible top grant funders that have awarded grants to programs similar to your project. From the search results, the database provides the option to focus the results on just grant maker or recipient profiles, the awarded grants, or the 990 tax forms. With the more in-depth profiles on the grant makers, you can filter results based on which state, funding amount, and areas receive funding. Similar to the grant makers, the recipient profiles show which grants they received, but more importantly which grant makers can possibility provide you with funding. To continue to assist you with your grant search, all profiles can be saved or emailed allowing you to view all the details at a later time.

This database can be accessed only at the Gulf Coast Library, and the Funding Information Network at the Gulf Coast Library Guide has additional details on this database.
