Resource of the Month - Reserve a Room

Each month, University Libraries highlights a resource from its collection. This month we are highlighting our Reserve a Room option at both Cook Library in Hattiesburg and Gulf Coast Library in Long Beach.

Need a place to study? Or a place to complete a group project? Reserve a Room allows faculty, staff, or students to reserve a variety of rooms in Cook Library. There are 20 study rooms on floors 1-4 with various room sizes and equipment. The One Button Studio in 205 is a video recording setup that allows users to create high-quality video projects and provides a variety of equipment including a camera, microphone, studio lights, green screen system, live preview monitor, and more. Cook Library also has research carrels available for rent that provide a lockable workspace for ongoing research project.

At Gulf Coast Library, there are 7 study rooms available to reserve on the 3rd floor with a variety of sizes and equipment, including tables, chairs, computers, and whiteboards. Room 104 is a large study room that can be reserved for large group project. Room 203 is a conference room and only reservable by university employees, but student group advisors can reserve the room on behalf of student groups as needed for meetings.
