University Libraries at The University of Southern Mississippi will host a spooky reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s works on October 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Little Building (403 Main Street). Featuring dim lighting and Poe’s scariest works, readers will bring alive these tales of the macabre. The event is sponsored by the Big Read grant from the National Endowment for the Arts that funds programming to support innovative reading programs designed to encourage people to read, discuss, and celebrate Poe’s writings.

Big Read activities are a result of collaboration between University Libraries, the College of Arts & Letters, and the Library of Hattiesburg, Petal and Forrest County. This event is free and open to the public. If you have any questions about this event, contact Jennifer Brannock at  or 601.266.4347.
