Three students, one male on the left, and two females standing in front of a tall shelf of books. University Libraries' Special Collections is accepting applications to serve as a student curator for the Spring 2024 semester. Student curators will work with a librarian to create a one-case exhibit featuring materials from Special Collections. Students will learn how to select items for display, install the materials, write labels and exhibit text, and publicize the exhibit.

Student curators are required to select topics and materials for their exhibits from the collections and items found in Special Collections. A list of select topics by major is available. We encourage topics outside of this list as well.

This opportunity is available to all undergraduate and graduate students at Southern Miss. Three students will be selected to serve as student curators for Spring 2024. The current student curated exhibits are on display through March 24.

The application is closed.
