Computer Resources

The Curriculum Materials Center has a collection of software to support teacher education students at The University of Soutern Mississippi. Most of the educational software may be checked out.  The CMC has a few programs on Reserve. Students may check out these programs for a three hour period and use them on the CMC computers, or check out the circulating programs for 2 weeks. Four computers with sound cards and ear phones are available for use in the CMC. The computers have Microsoft Office on them for the patron's convenience. Printing is available through the Cook Library printing network and requires a Cook Library copying/print card which may be purchased in the Cook Library Copy Room.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other Equipment 

Small portable recorders may be checked out for two weeks. These may be used for asignments such as recording oral histories.  Equipment which may be used in the Center includes cassette player/recorders, an opaque projector for tracing enlarged characters for bulletin boards, and a typewriter.
