About Us |
Support the University LibrariesThe University Libraries welcomes private financial support. Such support for the Libraries is tax deductable and benefits all Southern Miss students and researchers in their academic pursuits. There are many ways to support the Libraries such as: Friends of the University LibraryThe Friends of the University Libraries is an organization providing support for the research, teaching, and public service missions of the University of Southern Mississippi Libraries. Named EndowmentsOne of the most popular gifts that academic libraries enjoy is an endowment. Since endowments provide a flow of income each year, librarians can count on the money being available for the purchase of new materials, new technology or upgrades to study space. Endowments can be given in one lump sum, completed in installments, or made as part of a planned gift. Planned GiftsPlanned Giving is the process of making a deferred charitable gift. Common types of planned gifts include wills and bequests, life insurance policy, or charitable gift annuities. Gifts in KindThe Libraries welcome gifts of original materials, books, personal libraries, reports, maps, and other items that fall within the scope of our collecting activities.
