Private Support for University Libraries
The University Libraries derive benefits each year from private financial support. For example, endowments assist the library in acquiring materials and providing funds for researchers who utilize many one-of-a-kind items that University Libraries has acquired over the years. Additionally, in-kind gifts such as books and other materials help improve the breadth and value of the collections for students and researchers.
Those who are interested in supporting University Libraries in these ways, or are curious to learn more about how they might assist the libraries, should feel free to contact the library director at 601.266.4242.
For general information regarding the creation of endowments, planned gifts, and other donation methods, the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation web site can be accessed here.

Support for the library potentially benefits all students and researchers who utilize the collections and resources. Such support provides a rare opportunity to benefit many people at Southern Miss simultaneously. Gifts to the library are truly gifts that "keep on giving."
