Polk's* city directories offer four different access
points to business and residential listings. Each
volume contains a buyer's guide with business classifieds, an alphabetical
list of names with telephone number, address, occupation
and marital status,a directory of householders
with a numerical street and avenue guide, and a numerical (reverse)
telephone directory. Also included are general
descriptions and statistical profiles of the area.

of city directories held by McCain Library
consists primarily of those published by
R.L. Polk.
NOTE: City directories
are listed in ANNA, the libraries' online catalog. This guide is a ready-reference
tool indicating the cities included in the Mississippiana collection.
